Material Handling Supply, Inc. (MHS) is no stranger to Sunrise Signs. A while back we helped them by removing old, fading die cut decals from some Sprinter vans in what we still like to call the “Extreme Sprinter Van Vehicle Graphics Makeover.” As with most fleets, when the latest, hot vehicle comes on the market—such as the all new Ford Transit—fleet managers look to the amazing features of these new vehicles and add them to their fleet lineup.
Our Client Sought to Power Brand with Ford Transit Van Wraps
MHS has been in the new, used and reconditioned forklift truck business for over 40 years. With two offices in Delaware, their headquarters are in Brooklawn, NJ in Camden County. Beyond sales, they also rent lifts and provide a wide selection of material handling parts and services. They are an authorized dealer for many manufacturers of forklifts including Crown, Nissan, Hamech and Genie.’
With existing Sprinter vans in their fleet, already wrapped to perfection, the management team of MHS wanted to make use of one of the very best work vehicles on the market today. Case in point is the new Ford Transit van.
Available in five different models with many trim packages and add-ons available, Ford Motor Company’s goal was to make this Transit Van the go-to vehicle for contractors and the industrial field. And, what fleet vehicle doesn’t look better with full van wraps?
When we received MHS’s new Ford Transit Van our biggest challenge was to adapt a design that matched the Sprinter vans already in their fleet. Consistency in branding is essential—especially with vehicle wraps. Out on the road every day, a flawless design that was exact in colors and design was our goal.
Because we had previously wrapped some Sprinter vans for MHS, and we digitally save our vehicle wrap designs, our in-house team was able to pull up those designs. Next, we turned to the latest Ford Transit Van vehicle template to create a design that would indeed match their fleet and also promote the Crown lifts they sell.
The Sunrise Solution
The first image below shows an image of one of their Sprinter van wraps. Below that are vehicle wrap design proofs for the Ford Transit Van we sent to MHS for approval. Right away one can see how the designs match to ensure the consistent branding goal we sought:
On the sides of these Transit Van wraps, we used their corporate colors, easily matched to perfection using our PMS color matching system. A diagonal stripe is eye-grabbing and images of just two of the types of lifts they sell were also embedded onto the sides of these van wraps. The side stripe bears the company name nicely and also on the sides we embedded their website address and telephone number.
For the rear of the Transit van wraps, we embedded a memorable graphic that includes three “MHS” logos—the third one adds the word “Lifts.” This logo graphic was designed to make the corporate name appear as if it were indeed a forklift and came out especially appealing. Also on the rear is yet another image of one of the lift product they sell and to help them increase brand recognition, we added the “Crown Unicarriers” logo. Finally, adding their website address and telephone number topped off these van wraps.
Not only was our client pleased with this “matching” design, as the Ford Sprinter van travels the areas MHS serves, it is enhancing their fleet because of the matching van wrap design.
Vehicle fleets are important to maintain—in every aspect. One of those aspects includes using vehicle graphics and wraps for power branding and brand identity. Happily, we achieved this for MHS Lift. In addition, for fleets that have a FIN number, Ford offers a vehicle graphics package to aid in the cost of your van wraps.
