The Client Needed Chevy Astro Van Wraps

Malfettone Electric has served Jersey City and its surrounding communities for over 30 years. Their electrical knowledge and wide array of services they offer are just two reasons they excel. Other reasons include their integrity, quality and reliability when called to clients homes or offices—they show up—and they offer free estimates.

As their website states they “Adhere to safety standards and are insured and bonded” and along with the five-star Yelp rating, they’ve also won the Angie’s List Super Service Award. Whether it’s a residential or commercial job or a large or small job, Malfettone Electric is ready to serve and they treat clients professionally gaining them many long-term and repeat clients.

They are an authorized dealer for Briggs & Stratton generators and also provide burglar alarm systems, surveillance and fire alarm installs and commercial and residential wiring of all kinds. To put it simply, if a homeowner or business owner is in need of electrical repairs, overhauls or new installs, they can help.

The Challenge

As stated earlier, advertising and marketing must be a constant in the competitive contractor arena. There are traditional ad methods like newspaper, radio and TV ads and then there are van wraps!

Our challenge came in the form of a Chevy Astro van. A great work van for electricians but when it’s a van that is all one-color (as seen below) and has no markings that identifies the business, it wasn’t doing much to spread the word about their services.

What they wanted was a van wrap that popped, was attention-getting and memorable—and they came to Sunrise Signs with their own design.

The Sunrise Solution

After an initial consultation with an assigned in-house graphic designer, the van wrap design proof process began. With the design provided by the client, our designer used the most up-to-date vehicle wrap software and vehicle template to produce a vibrant proof the client accepted.

Even when clients provide their design, it’s still essential for us to provide accurate proofs, print and install the van wraps to perfection.

The Results

Once installed, these Chevy Astro van wraps really hit the mark. On the sides, it’s hard to miss the contrasting black and green vinyl and what’s really noticeable is their unique logo. An “M” for “Malfettone” is designed as a “Plug” in a 3D effect with the M in black, the base of the plug in green and finally, surrounded by white.

The angles of these van wraps offered the opportunity to add their contractor license number and website address in the middle white section and on the bottom on top of the green vinyl, one easily sees they are Highly Rated on Angie’s List, Yelp, HomeAdvisor and Google. Their customized toll-free telephone number of 1-855-55VOLTS also helps viewers understand this is an electrical contractor’s van. Lastly on the sides is contrasting white and green text revealing the company name and that they serve residential, commercial and industrial clients.

On the rear of these Chevy Astro van wraps, the black and green continues—even on the rear windows (window perf) and offers a repeating logo, company name, toll-free telephone number, website address, and a short menu list of some of the electrical services they offer.

Now, this electrical contractor van does make a statement and is memorable—and of course with vehicle wraps, Malfettone Electric is advertising 24/7, even when parked at jobsites.
