Westmont Ace Hardware Builds a Brand With Ford E-Series Van Wraps in Camden County NJ
Ace Hardware is a brand all its own but franchisees of this hardware store mega giant can brand locally with franchise vehicle wraps. That’s just what the Getzinger family did for their Ace Hardware franchise located in Westmont New Jersey in Camden County.
Westmont Ace Hardware began in 1932 by William Getzinger who made use of a small house and storefront. In the 1950s, a 1500 square foot addition was added and by 1989 the family had gone through the process of additions, buying adjacent land and finally tearing down the small house and building the large and modern hardware store it is today.
National franchisees face the challenge of building a unique brand locally but if done correctly, soon, the franchise becomes known for its individuality. Local franchise owners must excel in customer service and store appearance. For example, we’ve all visited fast-food chains where the service was bad and the restaurant was dirty—how franchises are operated and appear to local consumers makes a world of difference.
Westmont Ace Hardware already had a consistent start by being in the same location on Haddon street since 1932 but there are other things that help this franchise stand out. Local franchise branding means franchisees must take advantage of franchisor marketing and individual marketing to find a local brand identity. Westmont Ace Hardware is doing something right to obtain reviews on Google+ like this:
“Great customer service. Quality product. Good selection, especially considering its size. Save yourself a trip to Home Depot—with the miles of hunting down a clueless employee who unwittingly sells you a piece of junk, just go to (Westmont) Ace Hardware.”
To help boost their brand locally, Westmont Ace Hardware asked Sunrise Signs to create stunning and noticeable Ford E-Series van wraps. With a combination of franchisor logos and images of their historic past, this van wraps project was a determined success!
For the sides of these Ford E-Series van wraps, we took advantage of the red color and logo Ace Hardware is known for nationally. Subtle historic images of the stores’ original neighborhood location sit behind these van wraps.
Bright images of hardware and tools complement the reds and greys. At the top sides, is a slanted red banner that reveals their website address and the large recognizable logo sits prominently in the mid-section. The side doors of these van wraps reveal the location of Westmont Ace Hardware and a black upward slanting banner includes text of specialties: Garden – Plumbing – Electrical – Paint.
The sides of these Ford E-Series van wraps were finished with a contrasting red slant banner revealing the businesses’ easy-to-spot telephone number.
For the rear of these franchise van wraps, we inserted a grill including graphics showing bacon smoking on the grill as well as the logo of well-known grill manufacturer, Weber. The grey, black and red work nicely together and include important branding elements like products they sell and their telephone number.
Franchise owners everywhere can still stand create local brands with eye-grabbing vehicle wraps that never stop advertising. Vehicle wraps become local branding tools that announce your franchise 24/7—even when parked.
