Choose Ethanol Uses Trailer Wraps to Gain Attention at 72nd Sturgis® Bike Rally in South Dakota

Trailer wraps at Sturgis 2012 Bike RallyThere are ways to get a non-profit message across and that’s just what Choose Ethanol and the Renewable Fuels Association did at the 72nd Sturgis Rally in August of 2012—with trailer wraps!  As the trade association for the ethanol industry, these organizations have a mission to “Promote federal, state and local government policies, programs and initiatives that encourage expanded ethanol use.”

Both of these sister organizations also educate auto manufacturers, technicians, the media and policy makers on renewable fuels including ethanol.

Since 1981 the Renewal Fuels Association has been the “voice of the ethanol industry.” They are advocates in supply industry news and data and promote the same to both the public and private sector. These organizations boast membership in a cross-section of businesses and individuals who also want to share the same ideas and spread the word on the ethanol industry.

Governed by a board of directors, which meets many times each year, these non-profit sister organizations help to set policies and objectives on how to promote expanded ethanol use, provide technical information and participate in public awareness. They also provide all of their members with the information they need to make informed business decisions on using ethanol.

With the environment as its most important goal, Choose Ethanol and the Renewable Fuels Association, much like other organizations sought ways to get their message across on a broad basis. That’s why they came to Sunrise Signs and asked us to create unique and custom trailer wraps to help spread the word as the trailer traveled to South Dakota and the 72nd Annual Sturgis Bike Rally (see pictures of their visit to Sturgis on Flickr).

For these trailer wraps we incorporated their logo of “Ethanol: Fueled With Pride” along with a QR (quick response) code so smartphone scanners could find out more information on ethanol. Also splashed across the sides are their website URL and a message: “More Working Americans Per Gallon.”

On the rear of these trailer wraps we also embedded their Ethanol logo and QR code but also some statistics to get these trailer wraps noticed—ethanol in 2011 saved Americans $1.09 per gallon!
