Post Graduate Medicine Community Outreach Program Vinyl Banner Project

Wraps 4 Wellness does a lot of DOC band wraps for children with plagiocephaly and other conditions, but we also like to help the community in other ways. Back in April, Rosemary contacted us to see if we could create a banner for the Post Graduate Medicine Community Outreach Program (PGMCOP)  nonprofit organization and we were happy to help!PGMCOP vinyl banner

According to Rosemary, the PGMCOP is “focused on producing a medical field that reflects the community it serves as well as broadening the scholarly research of medical residents.  The mission of PGMCOP is to enrich the lives of underprivileged students through a meaningful mentoring program in a healthcare setting; and to advance the scholarly research and publication record for physician residents in a highly-regarded medical journal.  Our dual goals are to broaden and enhance underprivileged student interest, involvement and access to the medical field; and to support the advancement of medical research and community service initiatives of physician-residents.

We thought that it was definitely a cause to get behind, and we worked with the program to create a banner showing off the PGMCOP’s sponsors and colorful logo. It was definitely a fun project for an awesome organization!

May Wraps 4 Wellness

May 20th

This May we wrapped up bands for four little heads, and created our first ever Boston Band Wrap! Nicholas got ready for summer with a fun beach themed wrap. Vivienne paid us another visit after outgrowing her last band. This time she opted for a fun monkey wrap. Our final DOC band wrap was for Logan, who matched his rock star onesie with a cool looking skull and crossbones wrap.

This month we had the privilege of branching out and wrapping another kind of cranial helmet, a Boston Band for Taylor. Taylor went with the pink princess design to match the pink velcro in her helmet and her sweet disposition.

All in all it was a great month for Wraps 4 Wellness!

March Wraps 4 Wellness

March 18th

In March we also wrapped three bands, for Cameron, Grace, and Aiden. Cameron was a total bundle of energy who looked adorable in his dino themed band. Grace went for lady-like sophistication with a black and white paisley look. Our last wrap of the day was rock star-in-training, Aiden, who went with a cool skull and crossbones look. Another great month of band wraps!

February Wraps 4 Wellness

Februaray 18th

In February we wrapped three bands, a new helmet for our old friend Gavyn, one for Vivienne, and one for Gabby. Gavyn decided to switch things up this month by exchanging his speedy racing checks for some cool blue pinstripes. Vivienne and Gabby both opted for a look fit for the princesses they are.

January Wraps 4 Wellness

January 21st

Our second Wraps 4 Wellness event took place on a snowy January morning. The weather threw a kink in our plans and we had to make a few adjustments, but in the end we wrapped up three DOC bands for Graham, Tyler, and Tony. Graham went for the speedy looking racing flag design, Tyler's band was decked out with some friendly looking dinos, and Tony went for a super cool look with a black and white skull and crossbones. All three boys look adorable in their newly stylish helmets!

First Wrap 4 Wellness: Gavyn's DOC Band!

December 15

doc band wrap

Our first Wraps 4 Wellness project involved wrapping a DOC band for Gavyn. Gavyn is 7 months old, and like many chilren, needs to wear the band for a few months to help correct his head shape. These bands are very expensive, and often they aren't covered by health insurance, so we were glad to brighten Gavyn's day by giving his plain white band a sleek racing inspired look.

If you're interested in getting your child's DOC band wrapped, let us know by filling out the form above! We'll send you a selection of colorful templates and after you make your choice, we'll customize it by adding his or her name!
